2017 saw the launch of our Sector Based Work Academy programmes, a government funded initiative aimed at people over 19 years of age and who are unemployed.

The basics of this model is to develop and unemployed person into an employable candidate.

This programme is available at no cost to all our clients. We will work with your local job centre in sourcing candidates suitable to satisfy your resource requirements, typically for roles such as Labouring, Vehicle Banksmen, Trainee Trades etc.

This is a 3 step programme overseen by Minstrell Training:

Step One

7.5 days Employability training delivered by Trafford College at a venue local to your site.

Course content includes:

· Understanding Mindset

· Managing your Time

· Problem Solving at Work

· Working in a Team

· Understanding Conflict at Work

· Job Application Skills

· Interview Skills

Step Two

7.5 days Construction Health & Safety Training delivered by Minstrell Training at a venue local to your site.

Course content includes:

· Level 1 Health & Safety in a Construction Environment

· Manual Handling

· Working at Height

· Vehicle Banksman

· Fire Safety Awareness

· CSCS Touch Screen Test

Step Three

3 weeks work experience placement on your site whereby if successful and competent an interview will be conducted for a permanent placement.
